Also, had a good day at work yesterday, although my muscles ache a bit. It's been a while since I worked with the three year old group. Good news is that I'll probably be getting some extra shifts since this since one of the regular girls took a week off to visit New York.

Do We Dare?

Halloween was fun, my friend Julie came over and we got to hang out while we handed out candy to kids. However, we didn't have that many trick-or-treaters. We had some REALLY strong winds and it rained later, which is a same because the day before yesterday and today was such nice weather. Needless to say, we have a lot of left over candy.

Also, my little anime group is thinking about rewatching Sailor Moon (the original Japanese subbed version). Why? Turns out [info]gullwhacker has never actually watched it and it's been years since I've seen it. I think Sailor Moon is one of those animes that's more fun to watch with a group. XD

By the way, this is probably one of the most epic AMVs ever created. You don't even have to have seen or be a fan of One Piece to appreciate the amount of work that went into this AMV.

My Mother Has Joined The Geek Side

For those who don't know, my mother is a member of a ladies barber shop group and she loves going to the national competition every year.

This weekend the international competition is being held in Tennessee and my mother found out yesterday that the competition is being webcast. She was thrilled and made plans to move a comfy chair into the computer room so she could watch it on her desktop. However, her thrill triple when Stu told her that he could hook his laptop to the tv and she could watch it in the living room.

So now, my mom is e-mailing her barbershop friends and they're planning to gather in our living room to watch it tonight. What makes me laugh is that this is what Stu and I do when we have anime night, except we watch AMV and some anime off his computer.

In other words, my mother has joined the geek side. XD

I just found an amusing Xellos AMV. Who would have thought that "You've Never Had a friend like Me" from Aladdin would fit Xellos so well.

A New Muppet Movie

I just found out that there is a brand new Muppet movie in the works. It's going to be called "The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made". What makes this movie extra special is that apparently, it was of the many ideas Jim Henson had for more muppet movies.

The plot may change, but generally from what I understand, Jim Henson's plot for this was that Gonzo blew the movie's budget on the opening credits, so the muppets are forced to find cheap ways to continued their movie. (Ex: cheap background, directing it in the film lot.)

I'm just happy at the idea for a new muppet movie. ^_^

I saw 9 today with Stu and Jon. It was really good and it had great graphics, although, I will say that it would be too scary for kids.

I won't write about any spoilers here, but I do kind of wish they explained the scientist's motives a bit clearer. Also, 7 is awesome and the Twins are amusing to watch.

As for the trailers before the movie started, only a few really caught my eye. Where the Wild Things are was previewed. I'm not sure if I'll see it, but I have to admit the monsters for it were made well.

However, there was one trailer that I really want to see now. The Fantastic Mr. Fox!
